Cebu Pacific Mounts Special Local Tour Packages

Manila, Philippines -- Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) recently launched “Fun Tours,” economical tour packages that include air fare and hotel accommodations to encourage local tourism.

“Our ‘Fun Tours’ program makes taking a vacation very convenient for local travelers and is accordingly priced,” said CEB GM Danilo “Bong” Mojica. He added though that the packages, while designed for local tourists, are also available to foreigners.

Ranging from PHP 4,771 to PHP 11,063 per person based on twin sharing, these packages cover initially Cebu, Davao, Boracay, Puerto Princesa, Dumaguete and Siquijor.

“We have direct flights to all destinations included in the program except Boracay and Siquijor,” said Mojica. “Our Boracay passengers are flown to Kalibo for an overland trip and short boat ride to Boracay; Siquijor passengers are flown to Dumaguete, from where they are ferried to Siquijor. All these airport transfers are part of the package.”

“Fun Tours” includes round trip airfare on CEB, three day-two night accommodations, airport transfers, daily breakfast, and in some cases, a city tour. CEB’s reservations offices can arrange the bookings.

CEB has linked up with established hotels and resorts for this program, Mojica said, including Plantation Bay in Mactan, Pearl Farm and Marco Polo in Davao, Barcelo Asturias and Hotel Fleuris in Puerto Princesa, Paradise Garden in Boracay, Atlantis Beach Resort in Dumaguete and Coco Grove in Siquijor. Arrangements with other resorts and hotels are in the works.

Mojica added, “we have decided to concentrate on five destinations first before expanding to other tourist spots. This is part of our efforts to prime CEB as a key partner in developing local tourism.”
