Cebu Pacific flies direct from Cebu to Hong Kong for P1,999
Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Philippine’s low fare leader, will be operating direct flights from Cebu to Hong Kong four times weekly and Davao to Hong Kong (via Cebu) three times weekly, starting on October 2, 2006.
The Cebu-Hong Kong service is scheduled to operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday while Davao–Hong Kong route will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Departure from Davao to Hong Kong is at 6pm and consequently leaves Cebu for Hong Kong at 9:20pm to arrive in Hong Kong at 11:55pm. The flight leaves Hong Kong at 12:55am to arrive back in Cebu at 3:30am and the flight will arrive in Davao at 6am.
CEB is launching these additional routes with an introductory seat sale from August 8 to 15 only. The Cebu-Hong Kong service is on sale for only P1,999 one-way, while Davao-Hong Kong service is offered for only P2,499 one-way. Travel date for the promo is from October 2 to 25, 2006.
After the seat sale, the lowest ‘Go’ fares for the Cebu-Hong Kong flight starts at P2,499 one-way while the Davao-Hong Kong flight starts at P2,999 one-way. ‘Go’ fares are exclusive of surcharges and government taxes. The easiest way to buy the lowest ‘Go’ fares is thru CEB’s website (www.cebupacificair.com).
“As we open our Hong Kong service from Cebu and Davao, we are confident that our low fares will once again stimulate travel and tourism into the Philippines’ major cities as well as bring more Filipinos to visit Hong Kong. Likewise, Filipinos living in Hong Kong can now enjoy our trademark low fares and the convenience of a direct flight to Cebu and the quickest way to Davao. We hope that with these new routes, we will be able to fly our kababayans closer to their hometown.” said Candice Iyog, CEB marketing director.
The airline earlier opened its first regional office in Kowloon, Hong Kong, to facilitate ticket sales and function as a customer service desk for the large OFW market.
Iyog also emphasized that the additional routes are also brought about by the significant market growth and the steady climb in CEB’s passenger traffic to and from Hong Kong since the introduction of the ‘Go’ fares in January 2006.
The airline also starts their Manila-Legaspi service on August 17, and Manila-Singapore route by August 31, 2006. This is part of CEB’s expansion program as its brand new Airbus fleet continues to arrive. CEB has the youngest fleet in the Philippines today as it operates ten brand new Airbus aircraft to service its domestic and regional routes.
Now in its 11th year, the airline pioneered low fares in the country and introduced travelers to on-time service, e-ticketing, and on-line booking, setting the standards for airline innovation in the local aviation industry.
