Cebu Pacific signs MOA with Clark International Airport Corporation

Cebu Pacific (CEB) together with Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) today that encourages CEB to grow its operations and services at Clark over the coming years.

CEB President and CEO Lance Gokongwei and CIAC President and CEO Victor Jose Luciano signed the agreement at the new Raffles Hotel adjacent to the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport.

Gokongwei stated, "We are very happy to include Clark in the growing list of domestic destinations that we serve. We believe that our partnership with CIAC will further strengthen both CEB & CIAC’s growing domestic and regional presence. Just as importantly the start of CEB’s service will allow more Filipinos living in Central Luzon to conveniently fly to the Visayas and beyond with our trademark year round low fares.”

CEB recently announced its entry to Clark with a daily Cebu-Clark service that will commence operations on 12 October. The airline will use its brand new Airbus A319 for the service which leaves Cebu at 10:20am to arrive in Clark at 11:40am. The return flight leaves Clark at 12:10pm to arrive back in Cebu at 1:30pm.

The country’s low fare leader will commence its Cebu-Clark service with an introductory seat sale of only P99 one-way. The promo fare is available from September 19 to October 3 only and has a travel date of October 12 to December 15, 2006. After the seat sale the lowest ‘Go’ fare between Cebu and Clark starts at just P568 one-way. The promo and year round ‘Go’ fares are exclusive of surcharges and government tax.

Gokongwei continued, “We would like to thank and congratulate the entire CIAC team on their proactive stance in making our arrival at Clark a reality. We certainly look forward to the start of our services in just a couple of weeks and we look forward to growing in partnership with this airport and the surrounding region.”

Now in its 11th year, CEB is the second largest carrier in the country with a market share of over 40%. The airline services 20 domestic destinations including Clark and General Santos and also flies to Hong Kong, Singapore and Seoul, South Korea.
