Cebu Pacific increases frequency to Hong Kong and Singapore

Cebu Pacific (CEB), the country’s low fare leader and leading domestic airline, will increase its Cebu-Hong Kong frequency from 4 to 5 times weekly and Cebu-Singapore frequency from 4 to 6 times weekly starting January 25, 2007. CEB started the Cebu-Hong Kong service on October 2 and the Cebu-Singapore service on October 23.

The Cebu-Hong Kong service departs from Cebu every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 9:15pm, arriving in Hong Kong at 11:50pm. The flight then leaves Hong Kong at 12:50am the following day to arrive back in Manila at 3:25am. The additional service will operate on a Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Cebu-Singapore service is scheduled to operate from Monday to Saturday and departs from Cebu at 7:55pm, arriving in Singapore at 11:35pm. The flight then departs from Singapore at 12:25am the following day and arrives back in Cebu at 4:05am. The additional services will operate on Tuesday and Wednesday.

“With these additional frequencies into Cebu, we are effectively increasing our capacity from Hong Kong by 25% and from Singapore by 50%. This will allow us to offer more seats at the lowest fares and stimulate travel from these regional destinations to Cebu and the Visayas,” Candice Iyog, CEB marketing director said.

CEB has extended its system-wide seat sale offer of P98 for all domestic routes and P999 for all regional routes from December 6 to 12. All quoted fares are for one-way travel only. The promo is good for travel from January 1 to March 31, 2007. The seat sale fares are exclusive of surcharges, government tax.

“We are very encouraged that after just 2 months of operating these regional services from Cebu, that we are already increasing our frequencies and we hope that with the extension of the seat sale, we will be able to further grow travel and tourism in Cebu and the surrounding provinces,” Iyog added

The fastest way to avail of the seat sale is through CEB’s website (cebupacificair.com).

Now in its 11th year, CEB has the newest fleet in the Philippines and one of the newest in Asia, with a fleet age of less than 10 months, as it operates 12 brand new Airbus aircraft to its 20 domestic and 7 regional destinations to include Bangkok starting on December 14 and Jakarta on January 31, 2007. The airline awaits the delivery of two more Airbus aircraft in early 2007 to complete its $670 million re-fleeting program.
