Cebu Pacific increases capacity to Kalibo by 50%

Cebu Pacific (CEB), the country’s low fare leader and leading domestic airline, will add a third daily frequency to its Manila-Kalibo service beginning February 21, 2007.

The additional daily A319 Manila-Kalibo service is scheduled to depart from Manila at 10:35am, arriving in Kalibo at 11:30am; the flight then departs from Kalibo at 12:00 noon and arrives in Manila at 12:55pm.

“The third daily frequency between Manila and Kalibo will effectively increase our capacity by 50% and allow CEB to offer leisure travelers more options. More importantly, this will also mean that we will be able to offer more low fares to the public especially since Boracay continues to be a vacation hot spot for both foreign and local tourists,” Candice Iyog, CEB marketing director said.

The lowest year-round ‘Go’ fares for the Manila-Kalibo service starts from P568 one-way and is exclusive of surcharges and government tax. The quickest way to avail of the ‘Go’ fare is through CEB’s website (cebupacificair.com).

“We are doing this in anticipation of the summer peak and we hope that by increasing our capacity and making a lot of low fares available, more people will be able to enjoy the world-class beaches of Boracay,” Iyog said.

She added “And this will not only be beneficial to the island but also to Kalibo and the entire Aklan province. This is part of our commitment to tourism development.”

Now in its 11th year, CEB operates 13 brand new Airbus aircraft with an average fleet age of less than a year, to its 20 domestic and seven international destinations. The airline’s $670 million re-fleeting program will be completed next month.
