Cebu Pacific starts Cebu-Kalibo direct service today

To meet the growing market demand, Cebu Pacific (CEB), the country’s low fare leader and leading domestic airline is adding a direct Cebu-Kalibo service to its domestic network. The new service is scheduled to operate four times weekly.

The Cebu-Kalibo service is scheduled to operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. The flight departs from Cebu at 1:00pm and arrives in Kalibo at 1:45pm. The flight leaves Kalibo at 2:15pm and arrives in Cebu at 3:00pm.

“We are confident that this new inter-island service will boost tourism both in Cebu and Kalibo. Local and foreign tourists can now enjoy the convenience of traveling between these islands with our direct flight and our affordable fares. This is part of CEB’s commitment to further advance tourism and trade wherever it operates,” Candice Iyog, CEB VP for Marketing and Product.

CEB, with an operational hub in Cebu, provides direct services from Cebu to Manila, Bacolod, Clark, Davao, Kalibo, Puerto Princesa, Zamboanga, Iloilo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Incheon and Pusan.

The lowest ‘Go’ fare for the Cebu-Kalibo route starts from P568 one-way. This is exclusive of fuel, insurance surcharge and government tax. Iyog added that the best way to grab seats is through their website (www.cebupacificair.com).

Now in its 11th year, CEB has the youngest fleet in the Philippines with a fleet age of less than a year, and one of the youngest in Asia, as it operates 14 brand new Airbus aircraft to its 20 domestic and 7 international destinations. CEB completed its $670 million re-fleeting program last March 2, 2007.
