Cebu Pacific partners with Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Cebu Business Month 2007

Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Philippines’ leading low fare leader and domestic carrier, has partnered with the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) in delivering Cebu Business Month (CBM) 2007. CEB has been tagged as the official airline partner of CBM 2007.

In this partnership, CEB has sponsored airline tickets to Cebu, Hongkong, and Singapore for the ASEAN inter-regional road show that aims to bring in more tourists and investors to Cebu.

CEB will also transport distinguished international and local speakers for the Cebu tourism congress on June 14-15, 2007 at the Cebu International Convention Center.

Dr. Mila Espina, Tourism Chair of the CCCI, said “CEB has always been our tourism partner not only for CBM 2007. Our partnership with CEB has always accelerated our efforts to touch base with the stakeholders and place tourism in larger perspectives.”

She added, “This partnership will certainly spearhead our goal of gathering as many insights to put the Asian destinations, including Cebu, in the global market.”

Candice Iyog, CEB VP for marketing and product said, “We are very glad to be working with CCCI in pushing for the country’s tourism agenda through CBM 2007. Our support for CCCI’s programs has been extended to the entire Cebu community with the continuous expansion of our Cebu operations both for domestic and international travel.”

CEB offers the most number of domestic and international flights, routes, and destinations in Cebu. CEB operations in Cebu include service to Manila, Bacolod, Clark, Davao, Iloilo, Kalibo, Puerto Princesa, Zamboanga, Hong Kong, Singapore, Pusan-Korea, and Incheon - Korea.

CEB has 14 new Airbus aircraft and is acquiring up to 20 more with the first delivery coming in 2010. It now flies to 20 domestic and eight regional destinations, including Taipei which will have its inaugural flight out of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on June 13.
