Cebu Pacific year-round fare to Bangkok,
reduced to 2,499 one-way
Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Philippines low fare leader and leading domestic carrier reduces its year-round ‘Go’ fare for its Manila-Bangkok route to PhP2,499 beginning July 12, 2007.
This is equivalent to a 17% fare reduction from the current lowest ‘Go’ fare offering of PhP2,999. The reduced one-way fare is 70 percent less than the lowest airfare of other airlines for this route. Fares are exclusive of applicable government taxes and surcharges.
“We started service to Bangkok in early December 2006 with four flights weekly and owing to the strong demand for seats, we recently increased our flights to daily. With the added capacity, we are now able to offer this reduction for our year-round fares.” Candice Iyog, CEB VP for Marketing and Product.
The Manila-Bangkok service operates daily using CEB’s Airbus A319 aircraft. The flight departs from Manila at 10:45pm and arrives in Bangkok at 12:50am the following day. The Bangkok-Manila flight leaves Bangkok at 1:35am and arrives in Manila at 5:40am.
“We know that both Bangkok and the Philippines are popular shopping destinations so with this fare reduction, we hope travelers will fly with the airline that allow them to spend less on air travel and more on their shopping,” Iyog added.
Iyog explained that the best way to purchase tickets is via CEB’s website, www.cebupacificair.com. “Booking on line is much more convenient as passengers can see available flight schedules, fare options, and avail of CEB extended products such as in-land transport with Europcar and TravelSure insurance,” Iyog further explained.
Now in its 12th year, CEB has the youngest fleet in the Philippines at just over one year. CEB operates 14 brand new Airbus aircraft to its 20 domestic and soon to be 12 regional destinations with the addition of Shanghai, Xiamen, Guangzhou, and Macau in the next quarter.
