Cebu Pacific inaugurates Cebu-Cagayan de Oro service today
September 27, 2007 - Cebu Pacific (CEB), the country’s leading domestic carrier starts flying its direct Cebu – Cagayan de Oro service today.
The three-times weekly Cebu-Cagayan de Oro service will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, using CEB’s 150-seater Airbus A319 aircraft. The flight leaves Cebu at 1:05pm, arriving in Cagayan de Oro at 1:50pm. The flight departs from Cagayan de Oro at 2:20pm and arrives in Cebu at 3:05pm.
The Cebu-Cagayan de Oro service is CEB’s 9th direct domestic service offered from its Cebu operations hub. CEB also flies to Bacolod, Clark, Davao, Iloilo, Kalibo, Manila Puerto Princesa, and Zamboanga from Cebu. Internationally, CEB offers direct services from Cebu to Hong Kong, Singapore, Pusan and Incheon, Korea.
“We hope to further contribute to a healthier tourism economy for both Cebu and Cagayan de Oro with the start of our direct service between these two progressive cities. We know that our low fares and convenient schedule for this new route will encourage more people to explore these local destinations.” Candice Iyog, CEB VP for marketing and product said.
CEB offers the most routes, flights, and destinations to and from Cebu. Iyog added, “We hope that with the public’s continued support, we shall be able to grow our operations even more in the future.”
Iyog added that the best way to purchase tickets is through CEB’s website (www.cebupacificair.com). The lowest ‘Go” fare for the Cebu-Cagayan de Oro offering starts from P288. This is exclusive of government taxes and applicable surcharges.
Now in its twelfth year, CEB has the youngest fleet of aircraft in the Philippines with an average age one and a half years. CEB operates 14 brand new Airbus aircraft to its 20 domestic and soon to be 12 international destinations with the addition of Guangzhou and Macau next month.
