Cebu Pacific inaugurates Manila-Macau service today
Cebu Pacific (CEB), the country’s leading domestic carrier inaugurates its Manila – Macau service today.
The Manila-Macau service is scheduled to operate three-times weekly, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, using CEB’s 150-seater A319 aircraft. The flight leaves Manila at 7:30pm and arrives in Macau at 9:30pm. The return flight departs from Macau at 10:15pm and arrives at 12:15am the following day.
Candice Iyog, CEB Vice President for Marketing and Product announced, “We are very excited to be operating to Macau because we know that this is one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in Asia. When combined with our existing triple daily services to Hong Kong, it also allows travelers to get the benefit of two destinations for one year round low fare.”
Macau is one of Asia’s dream vacation havens with its modern infrastructure and UNESCO recognized colonial heritage sites.
CEB is the only Filipino airline currently operating to Macau. “We hope that with the flying public’s continued support, we are able to offer both more flights to Macau and more international destinations in the near future.” Iyog explained.
CEB offers a P1 one-way fare seat sale to Macau and its other new China destinations until October 15, 2007. This is good for travel on November 1, 2007 to January 31, 2008. After the seat sale, the lowest year round ‘Go’ fare to Macau starts from P1,499 one-way, a price cut of 72% from the current fares for this route. The fare is exclusive of government taxes and applicable surcharges.
Iyog added, “The best way to purchase tickets is through CEB’s website, (www.cebupacificair.com), though this is also available through CEB ticket offices and accredited travel agents.”
Now in its 12th year, CEB has the youngest fleet in the Philippines. CEB currently operates 14 Airbus aircraft to its 20 domestic and 12 international destinations. CEB expects the arrival of another A320 Airbus aircraft at the end of this month as an addition to its expanding fleet.
