Cebu Pacific sets daily flights to Laoag
Cebu Pacific Air (CEB), the Philippines’ leading domestic carrier, will increase its three-times weekly service from Manila to Laoag to daily services beginning February 29, 2008. The daily flight, 5J404, leaves Manila at 6:25 pm and arrives in Laoag at 7:30 pm. Flight 5J405 leaves Laoag at 7:50 pm and arrives in Manila at 8:55 pm.
Ms. Candice Iyog, vice president for marketing and product of CEB declares, “The increase in frequencies on the Manila-Laoag services will auger well for the tourism and economic development of Laoag.”
CEB is currently offering a seat sale of P1 for its Manila-Laoag service which will run from November 13, 2007 to February 29, 2008, and is good for travel for the same period. Fare is non-refundable and exclusive of applicable surcharges and government taxes.
“The daily service will now give travelers between Manila and Laoag a lot of flexibility”, she added.
The new schedules will be serviced by CEB’s brand new ATR72-500 aircraft. CEB is expanding its fleet with the acquisition of up to 14 ATR aircraft manufactured by Avions de Transport Regional, the world leader in the turboprop market based in Toulouse, France.
“We want people to realize how affordable it is to travel by air and we hope to encourage bus passengers, to take advantage of this extended seat sale to experience flying for the first time,“ Iyog emphasized.
Now in its 12th year, CEB has the youngest fleet of aircraft in the Philippines. CEB flies to 12 international and soon to be 21 domestic destinations with the addition of Boracay, Caticlan on February 29, 2008.
