Clark

Clark is the gateway to Pampanga, located in Central Luzon. Spanish settlers christened the province “Pampanga” in 1571 for the thriving native communities along the “pampang” or river banks, which has since then continued to become one of the bustling provinces in Central Luzon.

Kapampangans are renowned for their legendary culinary expertise. Pampanga is home to sweet delights such as pastillas, turonnes de casoy and buro and exotic delicacies like kamaru or mole crickets cooked ala adobo and betuteng tugak or frog stuffed with meat and spices. Don’t miss sampling the rich, traditional specialties such as morcon or beef roll stuffed with egg, sausages and cheese, rellenong bangus or ground meat stuffed in milkfish, sisig or spicy pork best served with beer, bringhe or green sticky rice similar to Spanish paella, embutido or ground pork roll and karekare or pork, beef stew cooked in creamy, peanut sauce.

Check out world-class resorts, casinos, golf courses and duty-free boutiques at the Clark Special Economic Zone, the quaint, Spanish churches in Bacolor, Guagua and St. Peter’s Shrine in Apalit and the booming night life of nearby Angeles City. Marvel at the minute and gigantic parols or Christmas lanterns magically transforming the streets every December and don’t miss the famous annual reenactment of Christ’s Passion and Crucifixion on Good Friday.

Clark is just two hours’ drive from Manila, an all-in-one stop for business, relaxation and leisure.
