Can’t play without your favourite sports equipment? For a minimum fee, avail of our Sports Equipment service. For a minimum (prepaid) fee when you book your flight, we will take care of your golf bag, scuba gear, bicycle, surfboards or fishing equipment up to 40kg for all Airbus flights. The Sports Equipment Fee saves you up to 85% in costs versus loading your equipment as excess baggage on selected routes.

  4. How do guests avail the sports equipment baggage allowance?

    Guests may purchase at the time of booking up to 4 hours before estimated time of departure (ETD) through online, call center or sales offices.

  5. Can guests purchase combination of SMALL and LARGE sports equipment?

    Each guest may purchase only one sports equipment baggage allowance per booking.

  6. Will guests be able to avail of the same rates at the airport?

    If a guest was not able to purchase any sports equipment baggage allowance up to 4 hours prior his flight, he will be charged with Airport Baggage Fee good for first 15kg.

    That is PHP 500.00 (+12% VAT) for Philippine flights and PHP 900.00 for international – short haul flights (ex-Philippines). For international – long haul flights (ex-Philippines), we charge PHP 1,500.00 Excess Baggage Rate (EBR) will apply for checked items in excess of 15kg.

  7. What if I availed of the Sports Equipment Fee and brought extra heavy equipment?

    If you exceed the Sports Equipment Fee allowed weight, the excess will be charged standard excess baggage rates.

  8. How much is the excess baggage rate?

    Excess Baggage Rate is PHP200/kg (inclusive of VAT) for Philippine flights and for international flights – short haul prices vary depending on the destination. EBR is PHP800/kg for long haul flights.

  9. I did not purchase a prepaid baggage allowance, can I still avail of the Sports Equipment Fee?

    Yes, you may avail of the sports equipment product without availing of prepaid baggage up to 4 hours before your flight.

  10. I have a bag that weighs 8kg (I availed of Small prepaid baggage) and a golf set that weighs 12kg that is covered by the Sports Equipment Fee for 15kg. Will I still be charged at the airport?

    No, you will not pay anything at the airport anymore.

  11. I availed of Small prepaid baggage (15kg.) and a Sports Equipment Fee for 15kg also. I carry a bag that weighs 17kg and a scuba gear that weighs 14kg. Will I still be charged at the airport?

    Yes, you will pay excess baggage rate for the 1kg in excess of your checked baggage. In total, you have 31kg of actual weight and you have pre-purchased a total of 30kg only.

  12. I availed of Small prepaid baggage (15kg.) and carries a bag that weighs 12kg. I also have a scuba gear that weighs 20kg that is covered by the Sports Equipment Fee for 15kg. Do I have to pay anything at the airport?

    Yes, you will pay excess baggage rate for the 2kg in excess of the allowed sports equipment. In total, you have 32kg of actual weight and you have pre-purchased a total of 30kg only.

  13. I have 2 bags weighing 15kg each. I availed of the Sports Equipment Fee online even if I won’t be bringing a sports equipment. Do I have to pay anything at the airport?

    Yes, you will be charged 15kg excess baggage. The Sports Equipment fee strictly covers sports equipment only.

  14. My flight was cancelled due to force majeure (typhoon, earthquake, airport closure, etc.). Can my Sports Equipment Fee be applied to my rebooked flight?

    Yes, you may apply your Sports Equipment Fee to your new flight.

  15. I wish to rebook my flight. Can my Sports Equipment Fee be applied to my rebooked flight?

    Yes, it is rebookable.

  16. Is pooling of sports equipment allowed?

    Yes, as long as the guests are under one (1) booking reference and present themselves and their sports equipment for check-in at the same time at the airport.

  17. I didn’t avail of the Sports Equipment Fee on my original booking but wish to avail of it on my rebooked flight. Can this be done?

    Yes, as long as you avail of the Sports Equipment Fee when you finalize your rebooked flight.

  18. Are there guidelines I need to be aware of when packing my sports equipment?

    Yes, Cebu Pacific follows guidelines below in accepting your sports equipment for carriage.

     

    Bicycles
    - Must be placed with handlebars fixed sideways, pedals removed and tires deflated in a hard shell container specifically designed for shipping, or in a bicycle suitcase.

     

    Fishing Equipment
    - Must be retractable for transport and packaged in a hard shell container specifically designed for shipping.

     

    Golf Clubs
    - The bag and the clubs must be fully enclosed in a hard shell container specifically designed for shipping. Will not be accepted if packed only with a vinyl or canvas cover.

     

    Scuba/Diving Equipment
    - Must be securely packed in a hard shell container specifically designed for shipping. No scuba tanks. Buoyancy control devices and regulators may be hand carried provided they pass the prescribed dimensions for overhead bins.

     

    Surfboards/Wakeboards
    - Must be appropriately covered for dents and scratches. The acceptable length is 11 feet for Airbus flights. Only 5 surfboards/ wakeboards are allowed on an Airbus flight.

     

    Bowling balls
    - We accept 2 bowling balls and 1 pair of bowling shoes placed securely in a bowling bag.

  19. Are there sports equipment not accepted as checked baggage?

    Yes, items below must be coursed through Cargo Services

    • Oxygen bottle (for rescue divers) – must be evaluated by Cargo prior to acceptance
  20. What about other sports equipment not mentioned, how can I transport them?

    Other sports equipment not mentioned in the list will be accepted as part of your checked baggage.

  21. Are guests allowed to upgrade their sports equipment baggage?

    Yes, up to 4 hours before departure. They can make the upgrade and pay the difference via CEB’s website (Manage booking), call center or sales offices.

  22. Are guests allowed to downgrade or cancel sports equipment product?

    A downgrade or cancelation of the sports equipment is not permitted once booking is confirmed.

  23. If flight is rebooked, what happens to the sports equipment baggage allowance?

    Sports equipment will be carried over to the new flight.

  24. Is this product available on all Cebu Pacific flights?

    This product is only available on all Cebu Pacific Airbus flights. There are however limits on the quantity per aircraft.

    This product is not available on all flights utilizing ATR like Caticlan (Boracay), Siargao, Naga, Busuanga (Coron), etc.​​​

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
  • Check-in and Boarding Guidelines Check in through the Cebu Pacific mobile app or website to get a seat number and boarding pass. Mobile and web check-in options are available from 72 to 4 hours before flight.

    Airport check-in counters open as early as 3 hours before flight, and close 45 minutes before the scheduled time of departure.

    After check-in, guests must be at the designated boarding gate 30 minutes before the scheduled time of departure. Check-in and boarding times vary and depend on the airport of departure.

           Counter and Bag Drop closure:

           Flights leaving Dubai, Doha, Kuwait and Riyadh: 60 minutes before departure

           All other fights: 45 minutes before departure

    Guests will not be allowed to take the flight after check-in counters and boarding gates close.

    For guests with Interline itineraries, the Operating Carrier’s check-in and boarding times apply.

  • Baggage Information Only 1 piece of baggage is allowed to be carried on board provided that it does not exceed the dimensions 56cm x 36cm x 23cm for Airbus flights and 56cm x 35cm x 20cm for ATR flights. Carry-on bag should not weigh more than 7kg.

    Bags for check-in must not exceed 30 kilos per piece, and not contain fragile or valuable items

  • Travel Documents International travellers must present valid passports and applicable visas. Cebu Pacific is a point-to-point carrier so please ensure that all passengers have the necessary visas or documents required for entry to the destination indicated on their Cebu Pacific itinerary.

    All passengers flying into Sydney must clear immigration upon arrival. Those who have onward connections to a third country will not be able to use transit facilities and cannot avail of the transit-without-visa privilege, regardless of their connecting time.

    Please be advised that based on Davao City ordinance no. 0292-06/03005-00 known as the Comprehensive Children and Family Support, all carriers are required to advise passengers travelling to/from Davao that:

    1. If a child/minor aged below 15 is travelling alone or travelling with a person other than his/her parents or those exercising parental authority and legal custody of the child. Parents/guardian need to secure permit to travel from the City Social Services and Development Office (CSSDO). Below are the required documents for one to get permit to travel:

    a. Birth certificate of the minor (original and photocopy)
    b. Barangay clearance issued by the Punong Barangay – stating that the barangay has knowledge of the travel plans of the minor
    c. Written parental consent attested by the Punong Barangay (if no parents, consent shall be made by the grandparents or the eldest sibling)
    d. Identification card of the minor (original and photocopy)
    e. Identification card of the authorized person who will accompany the child in his travels (original and photocopy)

    2. If a child/ minor is traveling with both or any of his parents, there is no need to secure permit to travel as long as there is document to prove of the minor’s relation such as:

    a. Birth certificate
    b. Valid Ids

  • Special Service Request

  • Flight Connections If you are booking 2 single-sectoral flights (example: CEB-MNL then MNL-HKG), please allow the following minimum times between the first arrival and the next take-off.

    Domestic: 2 hours minimum time
    International: 3 hours minimum time

    There are the minimum times required to collect baggage and complete check-in procedures required for your second flight.

    We are a point-to-point carrier and will not be liable for any misconnections brought about by delays, cancellations and any flight arrangements you may choose to make.

    If you have onward flights with other airlines, you will have to pick up your bags and clear through Immigration and Customs so please make sure that you have all your visa requirements with you.

  • Flight Disruptions At any time after a booking has been made, we may change our schedules and /or cancel, terminate, divert, postpone or reschedule or delay any flight where we reasonably consider this to be justified by circumstance beyond our control or for reasons of safety or security.

    In the event of these disruptions, the following options are your sole remedies against us:

    1. Rebooking
    2. Refund
    3. Travel credits

    Fare rules and airline policies shall apply during these circumstances.

  • Online Booking Cut-off Internet bookings are not permitted within 3 hours and 59 minutes from the scheduled time of departure. If you wish to travel within this time, you may contact our Call Center at (+632) 70-20-888 or (+6332) 230-8888 to check availability of your preferred flight. Booking can only be done at our sales offices or airport sales counters.

  • Travel Tax and Terminal Fee Philippine Travel Tax

    Philippine passport holders are required to pay for the Philippine Travel Tax amounting to Php 1,620 when traveling internationally from the Philippines. Guests have the options of paying through TIEZA (Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority) website or at their booth on the day of travel.

    Terminal Fee

    For guests travelling from the Philippines*: Terminal fee shall be paid at the airport upon check-in.

    For guests exiting and transiting Manila: Terminal fee is included in the total payment and collected at time of booking.

    For guests exiting and transiting Cebu to destinations within the Philippines: Terminal fee is included in the total payment and collected at time of booking.

    *Except Manila, Cebu, and Caticlan (Boracay)

    Red Eye Flights

    For flights departing past midnight (that is, 0040H, 0025H, etc), please be reminded that you need to check-in for your flight the day before the date indicated on your Itinerary Receipt.

  • Duty Free Purchases For US Bound flights, please be informed that duty free items purchased from the airport are not allowed to be brought inside the aircraft. This is pursuant to the TSA rule that we are limiting the acceptance of Liquids, Aerosols and Gels (LAGs). We have coordinated with the airport Duty Free office and have requested that if a purchased item is bound on our US flight, the passenger will be refunded of the full amount of the items purchased.
